I have windows 7 x64.
Vga cable plugged in but not working.
What do i do.
Monitor just says no video sighnal.
I have one monitor plugged into the dvi output via a vga converter thing this works fine.
When i plug in the monitor with the dvi cable and turn it on it says no vga cable the display will go into power save mode in 5 minutes i tried to use the vga cable but there s no input for that on my pc.
I m trying to connect a second monitor to the hdmi output by way of a hdmi to vga cable.
I tried replacing the cable just in case that was the problem but it did not change the issue.
So i just received my alienware x51 and dell u2412m monitor.
If necessary replace them with another identical signal cable e g hdmi or dvi to conduct a cross test.
First check the vga port.
Next check if the cables are working properly.
I have two monitors plugged into my gtx760 ti graphics card one through dvi one through vga the.
I have an intel i7 4790k cpu 4 00 ghz.
Check to be sure that it is plugged into a power source that works and turned on.
Next if this does not solve your problem disconnect your computer dvd player or another input device from your cable and plug in a new input device.
I have it hooked up to my computer with a vga cable using a dvi adapter as my video card only has 1 hdmi port being used by my main monitor 3 display ports and 1 dvi port.
It is an old 10 years monitor but works ok if i plug it into the dvi vga converter.
This does not work at all.
My computer runs windows 10 pro 64bit.
